Cyber Bullying Incursion Visit by Victoria Police 10/5/2019

The dangers of the digital world is a concern for everyone these days and Victoria Police are working with all schools in Victoria to be proactive in approaching this issue. Their visit to our school & talk to year 9’s and 10’’s was a welcome occasion for all the students and staff. Constable Leigh who was of a New Zealand Background spoke of his experiences that led to his current position in the Police Force and his role on the Hume City Council as an elected current Counsellor to which the students really related to well. He was very straight down the line when it came to outlining the LAW surrounding cyber bullying and other online misconduct involving crime and sexuality which was delivered in a tactful and respectful way and the students are all clearer on this issue then they would have otherwise been had they not had such an incursion organised by our campus Counsellor.
